Rolling Romper-room

Beach: Klode
Water temp: 64
Waves: 2ft rollers (moving in from the southeast)
Current: none really
Crew: The Patriarch, Gumdrop, Robin, Capt'n
Water Clarity: cloudy
Next swim: Thursday Klode 6AM (perhaps 4:30 for a 'no-wetsuit or bust' swim)

Rolling 2ft waves were all that remained from the early morning storms that moved through the area. The skies were grey, the winds were light and the rain had moved out of the area.

At first glance the seascape littered with waves might appear a bit intimidating but in reality today's waves were like playful puppies compared to the choppy waves the frequently accompany stormy conditions.

We all walked the plank this morning clad in wetsuits. The additional buoyancy of the wetsuit added to our romper room like experience as we pillaged and plundered the waves that got in our way. Oh what fun it was to climb up, over and down the waves just in time to climb up the next one. The experience left the Patriarch and I longing for the return of the 5-8 footers of yester-years....an event you have to see to believe and a sensational experience words can't describe. (...although I would strongly encourage anyone considering venturing out into waves over 4ft to bring along a partner to share the experience...)
