Surf's Up!

Next Swims:
     Mon-Fri 6AM and 5PM
     Saturday/Sunday 8AM and Noon

Last Swim:  Thursday 6AM
Water Temp:  high 60's
Air Temp:  Not quite as warm as we would have liked
Clarity:   Nope
Waves:  Big ones out of the north
Kru: Tattoo Lady, Dragonfly, Ala, Karolina, Mr. Anonymous, Showgirl, Diablo on the early shift
Shore Support: Patriarch, and three boys frolicking in the waves

We heard the lake before we saw it.

Already in the water were three boys playing in the waves, which made getting in feel a bit more do-able-- if they could do it, we could.

Still, we looked at the lake with skepticism.  There was a new collection of debris along the shoreline.  TattooLady and I shared a moment of tribute to the 4x4s that used to be someone's retaining wall... set free by the lake.

Finally, everyone suited up, inflated their barbies, and ultimately swam north into the waves.  The waves came at regular intervals, often matching their rhythm with our swim strokes.

I slogged to the garage, and met Ala and Karolina on my return trip.  Dragonfly, Mr. A, and TattooLady went further.

On the way back the waves pushed us along, and we body-surfed back within the rock piles.  It was a swim that left me feeling like I'd accomplished something.
