We arrived at the beach, and it was all peace and quietness, with a delightful side of chit-chat. We got ready in a leisurely fashion, and swam north. I think most of us made it north of the rock wall.

So...I often see things on the shore that I think are people, and upon further examination, turn out to be something else.

Today as I looked at the hillside, it looked like ants were running up and down the ramp.  Big, colorful, loud, ants.

Just like this, only the ants were wearing UnderArmour and Adidas

When we were all back at the beach, there was a lot of speculation about who these noisy interlopers were. Noisy interlopers who were not practicing social distancing in any way, shape, or form.

We gathered our gear, our masks, and our natural bad-assery, and headed towards the ramp.  On the way up, we ran (okay, walked) the gauntlet of loud, sweaty, loogie hocking boys, while repeatedly asking them to give us some space.  It was a bizarre and rather unpleasant finish to an otherwise fantastic visit to the beach.
