The Siege Continues...

Next Swim Attempt: Friday 4PM

The crazed look in The Patriarch's eyes and the anxious twitch of his whiskers is becoming more noticeable these days. I too am am becoming a little unglued... By my count we're now on day 20 of this Siege. On July 31st the lake temp was at 69. Since that point we've struggled to crack 60. When will it end??? ...is this really August?

Good news is this afternoon's temp of 53 was a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday at this time...which was two degrees warmer than the previous day.... Temps are heading in the right direction, its just a matter of time....

....right?

=Hello Greg - Are you returning to Milwaukee shortly after the swim Saturday morning? If so, I might be interested in car-pooling. Feel free to call or email.
Thanks,

Anyone interested in trying to swim at 4:30 Saturday at Klode? Some of the maps suggest it could be better by then. If yes, post a comment or call me (414.418.4469). -- Sandie

Gum Drop and I hit Klode at 4:45 on Saturday. Heavy surf, waves 6 to 10 in places. Temperature just tolerable, maybe 53 to 55? Not sure. Murky water. We managed to swim in the heavy wash cycle heading out from North Beach, only to a little farther than the drain pipe, then headed back. Difficult to walk out of the water. I signed up for Pirate's Plunge this morning, it will be interesting to see if they cancel it or not. Hope to see some of you there. Booyah! -- Sandie
