Red ball recovery

Next swims: M 6pm, T-F 6am and 6pm
Last swim: Monday, July 8, 6am (more like 6:15)
Water temp: mid sixties
Water clarity: Forget your hand, you couldn’t see the elbow in front of your face.
Waves: flat
Kru: Julie, Magic Mike

After a long day and a late night Sunday, six o’clock came mighty early this morning. At 6:08 as I was zooming up to Klode, a big red ball peeked through the trees along Lake Drive. A few minutes later, I was pulling the parking lot barricades away and that ball was a little less big and a little less red. With no cars in the lot, I thought I was in for a solo recovery swim. Happily, I was mistaken. Julie was at the beach preparing for her morning swim (inflating a brand new hot pink barbie). We noted the water felt warmer than the morning sand, and dove in. Julie swam to the mudslide, I turned around at the birches, feeling nominally “recovered.” The first morning swim of the work week—four more!
