Hawaii Five-O, and GO USA

Next Swim: Sunday, @ Eight a.m.
Last swim: Saturday, noon
Water temp: 62 Itch-o-meter
Water clarity: churned up
Waves:  up to 3 or so feet, not "big water," but getting there
Kru: Itch, Magic Mike, Theresa, Liz, and Somebody Else

The storm swept through, but that did not deter the intrepid Kru (especially those of us looking for any excuse to get out of the house).  As we were looking at the good sized waves, the discussion on the way down was who wrote the theme song to the original Hawaii Five-O TV Series?  Some wild guesses were postulated (Henry Mancini?  Pah lease!)  It was Morton Stevens, of course (or says Mr. Google).   To hear the song and watch that kick-ass opening sequence to that show,  see this link.  Look out Steve, it's Wo Fat!  ( I think Jack Lord learned how to do that "turn and look into the camera" in the opening credits from the Patriarch.)

And I don't want to hear any whining about an 8 a.m. swim on a Sunday morning.  The Kru swim's at 8, and then goes and supports Team USA.   Some of us are going to Three Lions.  They are closing off the street there, and bringing in the Jumbo Tron, so it should be fun.
