It was a ladies-only swim this morning, not through any planning, and Panini made an unusual and delightful early morning appearance.

We chit-chatted our way down to the beach, observed the waves, and decided to swim south.

The water temp was one degree lower than yesterday.  I looked at the September 2019 blog and saw that the temps we're having  aren't really all that unusual, though they feel that way.  I'm super happy to still be swimming skin.

The sun was just coming up as we left. There had been the usual declarations of short swims, and  "picnic table" but in the end, I think everyone went at least to Love Rock.

The biggish waves from yesterday have smoothed out into slow swells.  Heading south I didn't feel much current, but the return trip felt much faster as the waves pushed us back to the beach.  I did take a moment to look for the mystery pink marks, and they are gone.

Post-swim there was the usual discussion of cold toes and fingers, and then we moved on to the rest of our days.

Funny - Pool Noodle and I rendevoused at Love Rock and I saw you way ahead and said to her "wait...how far is that picnic table - I thought she said short swim?" Her reply "Oh we passed it way back there..."
