There's a chill in the air

Beach: Klode
Water temp: 55
Air temp: 49 (wind chill 30)
Waves: none
Water Clarity: clear
Crew: Gabriel, Capt'n
Next Swim: Sunday 1PM Klode

All things considered, the water conditions today were actually quite pleasant. The water was clear and calm while the temp had increased a 1/2 a degree from yesterday. (54.6 vs 55.1) Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the air temp. A chilly west wind combined with cloudy skies to make the 49 degree air temp feel more like 30.

Still, the show went on for Gabriel and I this afternoon. Due to time constraints we limited our swim to just a trip down to south-south beach and back....we did, however, pause for a bit down by south-south beach to enjoy the sun as it peaked momentarily from behind the clouds to fully illuminate the colorful fall foliage lining the shoreline.

We plan to log swim day 97 Sunday afternoon at 1pm. The forecasted sunny skies and light winds should make for a delightful swim! :)
