A little help from the sun

Beach: Klode
Water temp: 54
Air temp: 41
Waves: none
Water Clarity: clear
Crew: Gabriel, Capt'n
Next Swim: Monday 4:30PM Klode

The air was crisp and cool this afternoon and when the wind blew it felt cold enough to snow. Thankfully the winds were light and the sunshine was plentiful. When we stood on the beach clad in our wetsuits with the sun shining down upon us it was downright comfortable.

The water temp gauge actually never broke 54 but peaked at 53.9 while I was wading a few feet from shore....close enough to call it 54. To be honest though, with the sunshine and calm winds I thought yesterday's conditions were a bit more challenging.

Our swim today took us up to cedar grove and back. The calm lake surface and crystal clear water clarity temped us to swim up to the rock wall. But upon reaching cedar grove the sun ducked behind a few passing clouds and reminded us how cool the conditions were without the sun.

Tomorrow we plan to log swim day 98 at 4:30pm. For those who avidly follow our stats we are also only 8 days away from last years season ending swim date (10/19). Will we be fortunate to last that long this year? Stay tuned! :)
