The Yin and Yang of Swimming

Next Swims: 6:30 PM today Thu 7/15 Klode, tomorrow morning Fri 7/16 5:45AM

This morning's swim was washed out by a thunderstorm, but we managed a nice skin swim last night:
Wed 7/14 6:30PM
Water Temp: 66? (just a guess, didn't actually measure it)
Waves: 1-2 feet, very rough and choppy
Water Clarity: somewhat cloudy near shore, clear a bit further out
Crew: Diablo, Gumdrop, Kahuna, Robin, Megan, Gui, Patriarch

It was tough going in the rough water, but since was the second swim of the day, there was no pressure to make it a long one. We swam to "south south" beach and back, except for Megan and Gui who swam much further and much deeper than the rest of us. They are amazing. It's fun to watch them swim side by side, as they're both great swimmers but they have totally opposite strokes. Gui takes huge water-slapping windmill strokes, while Megan is much more compact with a more rapid turnover. Power versus polish, energy versus efficiency, yin and yang, male and female.
