As long as the water stays in the 50s we'll keep coming. Tonight was a very pleasant swim enhanced by all the colors starting to show on the lake bluff.
Due to all the heavy surf last week a lot of flotsam and jetsam washed up on the beach, including a yellow kayak that was deeply buried in sand and rocks. Don't ask me why, but Diablo and Itch decided it was their personal mission to dig it out. Mark and I decided to walk back up to the parking lot as darkness fell, but Itch and Diablo were still digging like madmen. They're probably still digging.

Are we abandoning AM swims?
Perhaps it was a sign from the Lady of the Lake signaling where to dig to get back home?
Sadly, autumn closes in. It's too dark and usually too cold to swim at 6AM and most people can't swim at 7 or later. So we'll do afternoons as long as we can.
