P.S. Kahuna, if you're going to compare me to a Jack Nicholson role, Easy Rider is a better fit:

Next Swim: ??
Last Swim: Sun. 1/1/13 under bright sun
Water Temp: high 30’s per toe test
Air temp: mid teens
Waves: Calm
Water Clarity: seeing double
Crew: Gumdrop with a few hundred other New Year day revelers.

It was a great day for a Viking swim. I figured I ventured out about 100 meters. It’s been a while since I've brought out Mr. Belvedere and his matching top hat! I was a little surprised that no other Klode Kru members were to be seen. I guess that makes me the only opener of this years swim season, in addition to having the last recorded swim of last year and the first recorded swim also (I am the Alpha and Omega of the Klode Kru 2012 season, or Almega Man :)!

I highly recommend copying the link that the Patriach posted, and watch the interview of the Captain. Classic Ted.

Me three! Cap'n, be the first person ever to complete Big Shoulders on Saturday and Ironman Madison on Sunday!

By the way, if any of you are members of US Masters Swimming and get Swimmer magazine, check out the article in this month's issue about swimming "Death's Door", the straight between the Door County mainland and Washington island.

Back from a week in Panama City, Florida. Thirty degree nights, and sixty degree water. Felt like summer in Milwaukee! So too didn't have to worry about bunking into any other swimmers in the Gulf. Looking forward to the opening of the season.
