The Public Works Director of Whitefish Bay came personally down to the beach today to tell us the beach will be closed for rest of the day because of construction (but may be open around 4) and also tomorrow, so
no swimming tomorrow morning at Klode!!
-Atwater is a possibility
Water today was warm and flat, over 70 degrees, slight current from the South.

Hmmm, I swam midmorning and the workers didn't say a word when I walked by. Other beach goers were coming down as I left. The closed parking lot wasn't enough of a deterrent on a hot day. Awesome swim. For those who followed Jim Dreyer's solo unsupported attempt to swim across the lake last year, he's trying it again.
