This morning's swim was one of the most amazing ever. We encountered huge schools of small silvery fish, maybe 3-4 inches long. We've seen schools of fish before but never in these numbers, thousands and thousands, they went on and on and on. It's mesmerizing to watch them whirl and swirl. One second they are a shimmering silver curtain billowing and rippling in front of you, the next second they seem to disappear as they as turn away. They swim in large formations, turning this way and that, forming and reforming dazzling complex patterns. Individual fish all seem to swim in synchronized tight formation, but the school as a whole darts this way and that, forming fantastic and fascinating whirlpools of shimmering shiny silver. It's difficult to describe, you to have to see it.

Hank and Nancy encountered a larger 'fish' in the water last evening on the way out from Klode. Itch! He was on his return trip to the beach. Temp 59. Clear with some small rollers.
