Today was the third day in a row of magically flat water, with a tiny increase in temperature.
TTL and I were suiting up on the north beach when new swimmer Gabby joined us. Moments later The Undertaker emerged from the water.
It seems like every day we're a tiny bit more trusting of the lake, and cast off a few more layers of neoprene. Today we wore sleeveless suits, no booties or gloves, and our pinky fingers did not go all wonky from the cold as they had done on Tuesday. I call that progress.
We swam to the two cute chairs, briefly exited the water there to check out the mystery yellow thing. Upon returning to Klode we swam a minor add-on loop around the south rockpile. The yellow thing was a tub/bucket that we hypothesize is used to keep the beer chilled while the owners of the two cute chairs do their relaxing.
All in all, it was fabulous.
Reminder: Saturday June 10th 10AM shipwreck swim followed by the Shorewood Men's club chicken bbq. Atwater beach. Don't worry, we'll keep reminding you.

Twas indeed another beautiful sunrise swim. Water surface was like a shimmering wavy glass with an easy as silk gliding movement. A great way to start ones day. Diablo was leaving while I was arriving. As I swam to Rockwall, I spied the Klode Crew ladies all enjoying longer swims. Gabby warmed up a little afterwards by doing some picturesque hand walking/stands on the sand. Wish I had a pic to post.
Conditions look ideal for a full moon light swim on Sat 8:15 PM. The sun should set about the same time as the moon rises intermingling their lights on a clear and calm night. I can hardly wait. Strawberry swims forever.
When I texted the Atwater buoy after work today, it pinged back 67.4 as fo 4 pm. Booyah. I swam at 5:30 pm, and didn't see anybody else. Forecasted winds seem predominately easterly and light over the next 10 days, so we could be in for some epic early season conditions.

The water is indeed unseasonably warm. Upon the shore their appears to be much pollen which we first confused with scum. Ich and Rossie had arrived sometime before us, as we noticed their gear. To avoid the dead fish spread and pollen lined shore we launched from around the garage.
I think the stuff that has accumulated near the rocks is just cottonwood fluff. I'm plan on doing a post-swim shot in honor of Johnny Weissmuller's birthday, tonight, June 2nd.
