Full Strawberry Moon Swim

Full moon swim: Saturday 8:15 pm, (Strawberry full moon)

The forecast is for warm water, warm clear air, and smooth gentle moon waves.
Full moon rises over the lake at 8:28 pm, with a sunset at 8:25 PM.  Swim on out and swim in/to the gravity feed pull sway of pulsating waves and shimmering rays. Strawberry swims forever.

Water temp: 70!
Air temp: Mid to upper 70's
Waves: Flat with slight waves and a little texture
Pollen count: Mostly close to shore and getting better
Crew: Kahuna, Peaches, unknown tri looking guy that gave it a try, Moondaug. Itch on the early shift
Last swim Time: 6Pm, 6-2-23
Next swims: 12:00 high noon Sat and Sun and Full Moon swim 8:15 PM Sat.

As we were pulling in Itch was heading out. Upon arrival at beach, I looked for some sort of sign scribed in the sand, but alas I could decipher none. Good thing I brought Mr. Duct-o- meter. To my surprise he quaked 70 (and my watch confirmed)!!. Mr. Unknown tri looking guy said his watch recorded 72!!! I believe this is a record high for this early in the season, and is a temperature only rarely reached even in high summer. Surely this must be some sort of sign from the Lady of the Lake welcoming and beseeching swimmers into a great season! Get it while it's good indeed.

Hank was left off of the above list. During tonight's swim, both Hank and I experienced what both of us referred to as "hot tub moments". I would be willing to swear that I swam through some 75 or 76 degree pockets.

Hello, did anyone leave their phone on the beach Saturday? In a yellow waterproof case.

Thank you very much Itch! That is indeed my phone in the yellow waterproof case. It fell out of my bag. I will pick it up on Sunday if you will be at Klode. Reward included!

Ha! First thing I said was I bet this is bobbers!! No reward needed, but you might want to let Carol know things are ok.

Your assumption was correct. You and Rosie were just pulling in to the beach as we were leaving. After circling back an hour later to scour the area without success, I realized my only hope was if one of you spotted the yellow lanyard, since I sure as heck didn’t!
