Colder. 54-56 degrees. Waves 2 ft. Very hard to adjust. Nonetheless we swam on. Soon our faces were down and we didn't want to get out!
About forty minutes later a worn-through mandarin disk rose above the scribbled ridge. It was so thin you could see through it. Scarves of barely blue clouds trailed over it and it slid upward and was gone.. We thought the rising was over and then, in the parking lot, we saw a white white chunk of ice glowing down out of a deep midnight blue.. It was so solid and blinding it took a while to recognize it's round shape. Was that the same moon?
Sat noon: 57 water temp per Duck-O-Meter. Air temp low 50’s with plenty of warming sun. Slow rollers out of NE with 6 ft vis beyond the wall. October continues to be kind. Moondaug, Magic Mike, Sandy, Rachel, Blake, Other Dave enjoyed another great swim in the big lake. Rachel pulled out the pitch to make the afternoon complete. Thanks Rachel!
