Water Temp: 67
Waves: light chop
Current: from north to south
Crew: Robin, Sandie, Scott, Cap'n, Patriarch
Water Clarity: I've never seen it so clear.
Next swim: Monday 6AM Klode
It was such a nice summer day, the beach loaded with people, and the bay with boats, and the water so crystal clear, that we could have been swimming in some tropical lagoon. Well, OK, I'll grant you that 67 is hardly tropical, and sort of borderline as far as wearing wetsuits.
As usual, the Cap'n and I preferred to swim without wetsuits, even if it meant we had to limit our time in the water, but the other did wear them and went further. Both groups had a great swim. It was especially fun to swim north against the current and turn around and feel the "hand of Neptune" pushing us home.
The water clarity was amazing, I could see a long distance underwater. The swimmers next to me seem suspended in space, to be flying rather than swimming.
