Where the Lady of the Lake reigns supreme, swim in freedom as liberty rings. See dancing light on gentle rippled waves. Wapentake, a swim, to celebrate the end of kings. After swim hoist a killepitsch and rejoice with no objections or logmenn seen.

Alternate Freedom Swim-- 8AM on the 4th, also at Big Bay. And be careful of WFB's pita parking regulations on the Big Bay street.
Alternative definitions of logmenn: lawyers. Also, a man employed to carry logs.
Indeed, Lögmenn (logmenn), from the Old Norse sagas, were legal experts. Of which 5 were summoned to settle disagreements the freemen had after the elected law speaker (lögsögumadr), standing by the law rock (Lögberg), recited one third of the law from memory before a gathering (Thing, or Wapentake in Old English) of a very critical audience of freemen who carried weapons to the assembly and voted by striking their shields or rattling their spears
Hi - I just found this page from the Milwaukee Triathlon club facebook group. I'm (casually) doing my first triathlon in about a month and looking for some open water swimming between now and then. When is the next group swim since I missed today's freedom swim? Thanks in advance.
Hi Julia - There are groups of swimmers that meet up at 6am and 6pm weekdays - and noon on Saturday and Sunday. We meet up in the parking lot at Klode park in WFB and head down to the beach. We are a very informal group - just show up. See you at the beach!
