Oh What a Beautiful Morning

Water temp: 64 per Showgirl-o-meter
Water clarity: pretty darn clear
Waves:  up to 2 feet "washing machine"
Kru: Panini, Northshore Nancy, Forger, Pool Noodle (artist previously known as Julie), Showgirl, Mr. Bubble

First order of business, Julie the lady who usually swims with a pool noodle on a string tied around her ankle, showed up with a Barbie today.  Shortly after we got down to the beach, Panini asks "Who's writing the blog today?  From now on, Julie will be Pool Noodle".  Then Panini and Pool Noodle went through a brief ritual where Panini tapped her on both shoulders with a stick of driftwood from the beach.  

Another surprise...Showgirl has a thermometer!  Some of us had never seen it before.  Will wonders never cease!

Almost forgot that the fob for starting my car was still in the pocket of my tri suit.  Actually, I didn't forget, I just remembered at a less than ideal time...just after I swam past the rocks.  Good news - no trouble starting the car when we got back to the parking lot.  Another pleasant surprise!  

While we were on the beach, about a dozen or more folks came trotting down the hill and then headed back up the stairs.  Apparently, there's a 7 am boot camp in the Klode parking lot.  Tried to encourage some folks that the water was really nice - they were not persuaded.
