Magic Mike strode into the water and pronounced the temp to be 65. It turns out he was exactly right. I measured 65 from shore but it was warmer away from the rocks. Yesterday’s cold water was just a bad dream, and we all had a nice long swim to make up for yesterday’s cold shortened swims.
Four of us entered the water, but when I returned and looked back there were still four swimmers in the water. I’m not sure where she came from but somehow Super Hera appeared!

Boy, that be some roller coaster on the temperature graph over the last 24 hours. Close to 70 late today?
Thursday night, 62° still very clear, nice 1 foot gentle rollers coming from the south(don't like swimming with the current) just delightful heading south. No flies, no seagulls, beautiful conditions. I myself was a bit sleepy but that don't matter. Drangonfly, Erin, hank, and Patriarch imbibed in the lake with NSN watching, so all in all, best swim of the season.
Friday night swim is at 5:30pm.

Roller coaster, indeed! 23 degree drop from yesterday morning. “Clear as a bell and cold as hell,” as the old saying goes. 47 degrees (according to the buouy). Four of us showed, nobody swam. Two intrepid triatholon swimmers got wet and disuaded me from trying any further.
