The light rain did not deter us from our mission, and today was yet another fine example that there are no boring days at the beach.
It was also a lesson in the philosopy that what you need will be provided when you need it. Pre-swim, it was raining, and we found an abandoned a golf umbrella. Post-swim, we were desperate for refreshment, and Itch miraculously provided both Killepitsch and Agwa.
A discussion of flowers on the shore resulted in a bitter argument between Kahuna and me that ended with him shouting, "phlox you!"
And finally, on our return trip from the south sewer pipe, I was thrilled to spot the treasure chest again, uncovered after being buried for two summers.

It shouldn't have been as much fun as it was today.
One edit suggestion: it's a "downspout" or "storm pipe"; for PR purposes, we don't swim anywhere near sewer pipes anymore.
Just a reminder, my group (Greater Shorewood Bikers) is putting on its annual Great Milwaukee Rider vs. Driver Commuter Challenge, this Monday, June 6th, gather at 7:00 a.m., starting horn blasts at 7:30. Details:
Starting Line, the Shorewood/WFB border (Rainbow Jersey Bicycles, Wilson Drive); finish line, downtown at the Sunburst statue, O’Donnell Park. What’s the best way to get to work, bike or car? Which way is faster, healthier, more economical, and better for the environment? Stop by the starting line or the finish line to find out and cheer on our celebrity cyclist (U.S. Olympian Brent Emery), and our celebrity driver (professional race car driver Andrew Hobbs). Will the cyclists’ winning streak (which has lasted over fifteen years) continue?
Another edit YOU may wish to consider-putting a pronoun in front of an adjective.
This ain't no grammar club here.
