As the group was assembling - I noticed a guy I had seen before who was wearing a "medical boot" for a bone fracture. I couldn't remember his name, so I asked Ziggy - What's that guy's name? She immediately replied - "Bum Foot", but no she didn't know his real name. Ziggy answered so quickly and confidently, that I assumed there was a Klode Kru Consensus that this was his new nickname. So, I approached Bum Foot and said - "I understand you have a new nickname, Bum Foot" Please remind me though - what is your real name?". "Andy".
Andy was not aware that he had been given the nickname Bum Foot, but he liked it. He said it would help remind him that his foot is not back to normal yet and that he should quit acting like it is.
However, as I discussed the new nickname with the other Kru members, I learned that there was not yet a Klode Kru Consensus on the new nickname. First I learned that Kahuna had come up with the nickname - "Pool Boy", but that Synchro had nixed that name. Then it was alleged that MoonDaug had spontaneously come up with "Peg Leg", which seemed pretty appropriate. Although the Other Dave pointed out that a peg leg is a permanent appendage, whereas a boot is temporary.
So, in order to establish a proper consensus for Andy's nickname, I'm asking everyone to do their civic duty

How about Bootsy?
I vote AGAINST using the triple K acronym in the blog anymore, lest we start popping up in weird searches, or somehow get associated with weird terrorist organizations.
But I'm in favor of democracy. I'm also interested in hearing which of the several creative nominations Andy favors. I would probably vote in favor of that, even though I still think IMHO that "Pool Boy" is a pretty good Kru nickname.
I have also mentioned in the past my dislike for that acronym, yet it has popped up again. I think we need a douche bag jar.
My high school cross country team called me "hop-along" (for a different injury, though I'm now wondering if they're related!) I kinda like Peg-leg, it fits with the whole pirate theme. But would also be willing to give that up if someone ever joins who has an actual artificial leg. Either way, I'm a big believer that someone's Kru name should be whatever the Kru decides :-) I will accept my fate... Wetsuit shopping this weekend, yay!
Das Boot. Will be a great nickname after the boot comes off too. Then we can have something in reserve for the next Pool Boy.

Good Grief....I agree, let's never use that acronym again! In the good ole days The Patriarch would re-nickname you in a twitch of his whisker for such blasphemy! I do, however, enjoy a good spirited conversation...particularly when it comes to nicknames. :) "Hop-along"....that's a good one!
I'm for Das Boot. It's the last movie I saw at the Times Cinema that had and actual ~intermission~. Also good movie, if you have what it takes to plow through two large popcorns...
