Last Swims: Wed 8/3 6PM and Thu 8/4 5:45AM
Water Temps: 63-65 near shore, but much warmer (70+) in spots offshore
Waves: Wed PM - 1 ft rollers, Thu AM 2-3 ft rollers
Water Clarity: Stirred up near shore, much clearer 50 yards out
Wed PM crew: Diablo, Patriarch, Diablo, Jeff, Mike
Thu AM crew: Cap'n, Diablo, Crash, Kahuna, David, Ben, Beth, Patriarch
At the risk of being accused of sexism, the Lake has been acting a lot like a Lady these days. Warm. Cold. Calm. Wavy. Clear. Stirred up. Sometimes in the same day, or even the same hour. It's remarkable how it can be so cold on the shore, and like bath water when you get out a bit. Bipolar but beautiful. This morning's gorgeous sunrise and slow rhythm of the big breakers crashing on the shore seemed almost Caribbean.
