Ma, Ma, Ma, My Corona
During the off season, with little else to do, someone research the issue of whether frigid lake water kills the Coronavirus. Seems like it would but, where's the data? I could see how the Coronavirus might be perfectly happy in tropical temperature water, but wilt in the face of hardy Lake Michigan temperatures. Maybe we will actually be rooting for lower water temperatures this summer? Keep Calm and Go Swim?

With all the pools closed, the lake might be the only place we can swim! Despite data that shows chlorine kills coronavirus...

Fortunately, there are a lot of workouts on Youtube including;
- Seven Minute Workout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmq5zZfmIws (my go to workout when I'm "on the road" or really busy and don't have time for a swim or a run) featuring Tabata music and the awesome Inger Houghton; or
- Everybody's favorite triathlete Gwen Jorgensen on her Youtube channel is posting indoor woorkouts https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNQaItQ0LLVu5987SD88s2w?sub_confirmation=1.
ANYONE UP FOR AN APRIL FOOLS SWIM?
I've been thinking about this ever since they closed the pools.
Then today, I decided to walk to Big Bay Park and go down to the beach.
The water was calm, relatively clear, big sky behind it. So Beautiful
The Sirens were calling out to me...
I put my hand in to check the temperature...
IT'S NOT THAT BAD!
Came home and checked the Weather Channel forecast for Wed, 4/1 (again)
High temp 49, winds N 14 mph, 40% chance of am showers.
Im a fool for an April 1st swim.
as long as you fools stay 6 ft apart on the beach and in the water...
I am up for an April 1 swim! Tell me the time and I'll be there.
probably 5 pm on April 1st, forecast looks for calm water, expect 41 degree water
