Last year it filled in five days, and this year is expected to fill even quicker.

Greg and Ted (a.k.a The Patriarch and The Cap'n, a.k.a Dos Locos) will record their excellent Lake Michigan swim adventures here. We'll provide daily updates on lake conditions, and our plans for upcoming swims. In addition we'll write some observations, ramblings, rants, and wacko theories related to Lake Michigan swimming (or not).

Registration closed the next day after it opened. Seems to suggest that there would be a market opportunity for a race in Milwaukee.
A West wind blows, so a swim should be warm me thinks, as April swims go.
Something to watch, as you look forward to the season:

I think we could use some real world demonstration time, I'll bring the paddles.
I waded in Lake Michigan today at Harrington Beach State Park, and with a light East Wind, the toe-meter told me it was in the mid 50's. Definitely not in the 40's.
Is the toe-meter a credible, valid measure? Where's the data on this?
Oh, speaking of valid measure, I sent a message to the National Buoy Data Center asking when the Atwater buoy would be up and running again.
One more sign of Spring: SMC Atwater Beach Chicken BBQ is set for Saturday, June 11th. I'm selling tixs.
