Waves: One foot chop
Water Clarity: Terrible
Crew: David, Showgirl, Kahuna, Gumdrop, Diablo, Bubba, Cap'n, Patriarch
Skin Count: 5, Wetsuit Count: 3
The lake has been slow to warm up this year especially as compared to last year, but similar to previous years. And I suspect the cool water temps are the reason the crew has been slow to assemble. But more people have been coming in the morning, it was good to see Bubba for the first time this summer.
The colored map of lake temps is more and more the oranges of 60s and the reds of the 70s can't be far behind. The best part of the summer swim season is just ahead!

I swam on Monday night around 6pm with Dave & Kirsten (all wetsuits). Clarity was bad, water was choppy and temps were probably low 60's (comfortable). It was tough to get into a rhythm from the big waves and despite a few mouthsful of water, I had a giddy feeling, knowing that summer may(don't jinx it) finally be upon us.
I'll be at Big Bay at 1pm on the 4th of July.
