Kahuna and David pose for a picture while Kahuna is heard muttering "Fla, Fla, Fla"....which I do believe translates to 'come on in...the water's great!'.
The Super Moon climbs over the horizon just before 9pm. Note how it appears to be 14% larger than usual....

I was hoping this might be my first skin swim of the summer..... until I put my toe in the chilly water. I suited up and swam south to the pipe/concrete things.
When I got back to the beach there was Ben Speed, who told me the water was 51.
I'll be swimming Wednesday 5:30 AM. tho I could be persuaded to go at 6am.
Last Swim:

Air Temp: Warm but dropping
Waves: few
Clarity: crystal clear near shore, stirred up further out
Crew: Diablo, Gumdrop, Showgirl
Skin Count: 3!
It was a brisk swim south to the picnic table and back around the rocks for a little extra distance. It was also my first skin swim of 2013, and as we all know, once you go skin, there's no going back.
Next Swim: 5:30am Thursday? I'll try to be on time. :)
I stopped by Big Bay at 5:30 this evening (Wed). Water temp 52. Yikes!
Next Swim: Friday 06/28 5:30am
Last Swim: Thurs 06/27 5:30am
Water Temp: mid 50's?
Air Temp: Warm and lovely
Waves: None
Clarity: Good not great
Crew: Kahuna, Showgirl and probably Diablo
Suit Count: 2
Skin Count: 1 (Diablo)
Pre-swim Kahuna said, "this is like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane." As in, why would one want to leave a warm bed to swim at 5:30am? But as usual, the swim was great, and was an enormous reward for getting up early.
Wait, didn't Showgirl say above "as we all know, once you go skin, there's no going back"? What's she doing swimming in a wetsuit the next day?
Yes, that was Diablo, swimming skin, and I would put the temp at 52 or 53. Krews have been pretty light in the morning -- folks are missing some beauty.
Whats that-"once you go skin, there's no going back"? Well in that case-The check is in the mail. I'll respect you in the morning. I'm from your government, and I am here to help you. All things I'm sure you've heard before :-)
