Crew: The Patriarch, Diablo, Gumdrop, Crash, Jack Frost, Phil, Chris, Jill, Matt, Adrian, Capt'nThe initial water temps off of Klode's south beach were promising this afternoon....ranging from 60-62 depending on where you were standing. The Patriarch's reconnaissance mission earlier at Big Big though indicated that there might be some 56 degree water lurking in the bay. So we decided to measure the water temps off of Klode's southeast beach. The result....a reading of 52.
As it would turn out there were pockets of warm and cold water out there....mostly cold though. (mid 50's) But with the hot sun beating down on the back of your wetsuit and an occasional pocket of warm water it was definitely tolerable.
The forecast this evening calls for winds to shift out of the east. A promising indicator that warmer water will again return tomorrow. ....at least so says The Patriarch....and who would dare doubt someone who's introduced us to 'love lube' and 'Barbi the blow-up swimmer'???
