This weekend: conditions permitting we'll celebrate a successful swim season with a Klode swim followed by a cookout at my place. Tentatively we'll start swimming at noon. Please let Ted or me know if you might be coming.
Last night's swim.
Water temp:69
Waves: small chop
Water Clarity: Improving, the gunk near shore is mostly gone
Crew: Gabriel, Gumdrop, Cap'n, Patriarch
This morning's swim:
Water temp: 68
Waves: one foot, but very choppy
Water Clarity: Still somewhat cloudy because of stirred up silt and sand, but the gunky brown water near shore is gone.
Crew: Gabriel, Cap'n, Patriarch
This morning was our 100th swim of the season, quite an accomplishment considering August, usually our prime swim month, was almost a total bust. September is making up for it. It's been a couple weeks since we've needed to don our wetsuits.
We swam into heavy chop and a big current, it took us 21 minutes of hard work to reach sewer pipe, and only 14 minutes of easy cruising to get back.
