Best quote of the day from the King: "First best swim of the summer." Water was clean, and refreshing. I was thinking as I swam along today in the sunshine and clear water, of Sheryl Crow's song "I Wanna Soak Up the Sun." I went looking for the video (which I'd never watched before), and actually listened/read the lyrics. I have even greater respect for the song than I did previously. Fun, happy summer anthem. We who swim the Lake are really lucky!

Sunday noon report.
Kru: Diablo, Cap'n, Baktiari, Forger Ala mode, Sandy (Beach Name, Sandy), King Triton, Fist Timer Nick from California; WeTac, Kahuna.
Water: 65 degrees. Cooler and clearer away from the rocks. Stong current and moderate waves from the South. Still some little fishes. found a tennis ball.
Buried Treasure? There is a submerged, partially buried box or chest. Location is as follows. There are two staircases near Love Rock. Twenty Diablo paces north of the northern most staircase, and approximately 0.00247 nautical leagues offshore (that's 15 yards for ye landlubbers), and only about about 2 fathoms deep (that is about 1 to 2 Diablos deep). The box is newer looking, and its size is approximately 3' by 2'. What's in the box?
Other Things of Note: Beach karaoke. Floating cottonwood seeds. Annoying biting flies.
I saw that tennis ball this morning while paddling with the morning crew! However, I was not going to risk falling of my paddleboard to retrieve it! Little bumpy from the South at 8 am as well, but sunny and pleasant! Next time we'll look for the buried treasure. That may be worth the risk of falling in lol. 5 or 6 people swimming at 8am and Showgirl and I on the "safety team" of paddleboarders. As we left a group of triathletes in their seemingly brand new XTerra wetsuits descended upon the beach. Busy day at Klode!

Buried Treasure? What's in the box?
The temperatures and forecast at this website seem inaccurate or optimistic:

Interesting article about aging former college athletes and injuries:

One more reason to be thankful I was never an elite college athlete.

Arrival time for pm currently ranges between 5-6pm. We're not fussy. About that, anyway...
