  1. Other Dave comment: Water / air temps have been colluding in October, resulting in some terrific swims at both Klode and Big Bay. Vintage pitch and snappy repartee’ available on shore for those inclined. Enjoy it while it lasts!

  3. What are they doing then? Not flat rock?! Or love rock?!?

  4. Work is north of C/S Bay and south of love rock. no landmark has been harmed/improved yet....but just a matter of time I fear. The rate at which they're depositing BAR (big ass rocks) is starting to cause an uneasy sorta feeling.

  5. Uh oh, so Russian Rainbow, or Pennywise sewer, then? Oh man, cute tugboat or no, we cannnnnot simply navigate by...BAR #1, BAR #2...!
Foggy goggles cannot distinguish one BAR from another...unless we tag them ourselves...or Itch stands on one all the time.

  6. 66 degree water last night with easy-going but large waves. Beautiful sunset of yellows and peach. Hope we can find a window today!

  7. Warm splatting rain, significant but thrilling waves, then crepuscular rays into a double rainbow. Not a boat for miles. I swam mostly with my head up--singing!

Oh yeah. About 65 degree water, but after a 46 minute swim, it took a very long time to make my white toes turn back to pink! I did not care! Sublime!

  10. 6:20 PM. I had planned to pass tonight but when the sky turned gold, we headed into a rainbow. Before we knew it, we were clawing our way through ripping waves, some seemed over 6 feet, in the warmest water--maybe 67 or more? Wild swimming rating near radical as the gouda moon rose and the deep purple blues drained to black--still showing the white ruffs of the waves. A witness testifies that I was the last featherless biped to leave what went for the water! The current had carried me so far north I had to jump off. Hope you were there earlier!

Can someone please make a note to stop the wind from turning offshore tomorrow?

  11. rumor has it that Klode is open ( I was told the fence was down) but the parking lot I still closed.

    Any updates?

  12. Beach has been open just not the parking lot and accessible path. It might take them a minute to clear out equipment from the lot I’m guessing. I’ll be there tonight - thurs 5pm. Hopefully see you in passing!

  15. I got in even a bit later. Very cold. I got used to it, though, after fifteen minutes in. It is still worth the buzz!

  16. I don't have a temp for yesterday, so I can't report. The memory of my cold bones was still too strong. But today I bet some of you daring dos did. Would be interested in the temp today, if you even have an approximation. Merci.
